WATCH THE COLLISION

“…stay focused and witnessthe cue ball and object ball collision.” -Tom Simpson

Stay down in your stance watch the cue ball strike the precise point you want to contact on the object ball.

Concentrating on the exact collision of the balls teaches you where a specific contact point will send the object ball. In addition, it helps you keep your head down and your body still throughout the final stroke, and when you’re still, it’s easier to deliver an accurate and level stroke.

The simple act of watching also quiets the mind. It parks your conscious self out back, and let’s your intuitive self feel the shot and prepare to execute.

Anytime you can access your subconscious self, you have a chance to get in stroke!

Every player who has ever experienced playing in the zone knows the feeling. Dead stroke is a great place to be when you’re playing pool. Time flies, the balls keep dropping and everything is easy. Everything is good.

If you want to get in stroke, then stay down and watch the balls collide. This encourages a smooth follow through and helps to relax the body. It’s a technique that promotes an excellent stroke without any unwanted body movement.

Stay down and stay still.

Focus on seeing the collision!
