Solve the Problem - Viking Cues Tip of the Week with Mike Roque, Author of "Build Your Game"

Solve the Problem

“…for me, the best thing is to solve the infinite problems that keep emerging.”

-Thomas Engert.

IMAGINATION is a beautiful thing. As long as you are at the table with a positive attitude and a creative mind, you are never out of the game.

Think of the matches when you felt there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Out of nowhere, a flash of inspiration came and you saw a shot that turned the whole game around!

Shots like these are common with all the great champions. They have a way of winning games that many other players would have already given up for lost. Their imagination is so creative, there seems to be no end to solutions.

When you are in a difficult situation, you can either accept defeat or focus on finding or creating a solution. Learn to love the act of problem solving.

Look at each problem as a challenge and an opportunity to excel. Every situation, even the bleakest, has a shot that can turn it around. Do not fall into the pit of woe–is–me. Instead, spend your energy finding a key that unlocks the problem.

Necessity is the mother of invention. If you want to get yourself out of a jam, let your imagination go to work. You will be amazed at the incredible escapes that show up!

Do not give up on tough situations.

Work them out and be a problem solver!
